Your openness to the world, your trustfulness, your moral values these are expressions of your true nature. If someone can’t recognize their worth, let them pass. You grow, you evolve, you transform but you don’t erase what makes you you.

Being open-minded and honest is a kind of luxury, something you work for, and something truly worth the effort. When I think about my core values, I see that I built them and managed to keep them only because life gave me certain chances. Part of it was luck: being born into an environment that didn’t totally break me. But a big part of it was my own choices.

Sometimes I wonder: would it be easier to agree more, to call my own fear a reasonable excuse? But time passes, life moves on, and in the end you’re left with what you chose to stand for
