A strong person isn’t someone who’s never afraid.
A strong person is someone who can admit their flaws, fears, and weaknesses and still move forward.
Strength isn’t mocking others for their fears or weaknesses. True strength is seeing their struggles with compassion, knowing that none of us is perfect.
True strength is being kind, feeling empathy, and showing mercy to those who are wrong or have done something bad. Mercy is not the same as forgiveness. It is not incentivization, indifference, permissiveness, or condescension with an “oh, poor thing.”
Mercy is the ability to see another person, and instead of finishing them off for their mistakes, to still act as a kind human being, to see the personality behind the actions.
