“Truth without kindness is violence.”

Since childhood, I valued intelligence above all. I believed that a truly smart person couldn’t be cruel, because cruelty isn’t rational. But I’ve learned that kindness is a rare currency. Sometimes, silliness paired with kindness can be disarming, even endearing. And hate? It usually comes from people who are both foolish and mean.
